Vanvooren Body on B-23-AE.

Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}18/MK.15.7.36.

We came to the conclusion that the Vanvooren owes a considerable amount of its success to the very large clearance left round the doors, which means that a considerable amount of wear can take place in hinges, locks, etc., before any rattle is noticeable. The gaps are filled with flexible rubber strips and curiously enough, these do not let the draught in.

We have promised to let Ward have this car at Park Wards when we can spare it, which will not be until we can get the new Bentley body. Possibly you will contact Ward and get him to let the other Coachbuilders have a look at the body while it is at his place, because he is going to take off the trimming, etc.

The point we want to emphasize is that it is an invaluable experimental car, and we do not want to be without it for more than two or three days.
