7. LAMPS.

The car was turned out with the lamps hopelessly out of adjustment, and seeing that I do a good deal of driving at night, I find the present lamps very poor, and greatly inferior to the Bosch and Marchal Lamps I had on my two previous cars. I do not want large head lamps, and am not at all keen on Lucas "P" type head lamps. I would suggest that I should have a pair of Marchal Superhare "Strilux", 10 inches in diameter, No.757. These are £11.10.0. per pair, off which I can get 28½ per cent. I should be grateful if you would exchange them, and make me the best allowance you can, as the present lamps are definitely dangerous and unsuitable for a fast car at night.

8. HORNS.

The present horns are the cheapest type of Lucas equipment as fitted to small low priced English production cars, and are quite unsuited and unworthy of a car such as the 3½ litre Bentley. I should like new horns fitted, which make driving safe. I am afraid Lucas make no decent horns at all. I would suggest either Bosch, or Marchal SANCR-RD2, as being the only two models which I know are suitable for this type of car.

With regard to the lamps and horns, please let me know before fitting, what additional cost you propose charging, and I will let you know by return.
