Proposal to modify an eight-cylinder distributor for use on a four-cylinder mockup engine.

We propose to use the eight cylinder distributor to LOP. RR.2292 already instructed, for the above "mockup" engine. Two parts will require modification. The Distributor Head which will require the firing order for eight cylinders removing, and the new firing order for four cylinders engraving thereon. The Driving Sleeve for the base of this distributor to pick up on the drive of the R.60 engine which is being used for the four cylinder "mockup". Ignition wires should be fitted to the un-numbered terminals of the distributor head and suitably earthed on the engine.
