In response to your memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG22.1.24. the position of the inspection cover should allow of the adjustment of the clutch levers by means of an ordinary key spanner for locking and a plug spanner for moving the adjustment screw. We have inspected the drawing with regard to this point and we cannot see why the adjustment is not a possible one. It is difficult to raise the inspection cover above its present position without raising the position of the floorboards of the car. It is not intended to remove the clutch springs through the inspection cover, but the top half of the clutch casing should be taken off for this purpose. We realise that on EAC.1. it will be necessary to dismantle part of the starter gear to accomplish this latter, but on all other EAC. models the upper half of the clutch casing is quite plain, and it can be easily removed. There should be a drain hole in the bottom of the clutch chamber similarly to Goshawk.
