X7360 To DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG12.9.28. EAC.10 - FIRST CARS. X7770 X7830 The numbers of the three EAC.10 cars will be 18-EX, 19-EX and 20-EX. 18-EX will be the car for R.{Sir Henry Royce} As regards the dummy frame for the coachbuilder to mount the body on, we are arranging to make this. The intention is to have side members, dashboard, body brackets and show any other feature which stands above the height of the frame. We do not want to have to fit pedals and steering, and change speed lever and brakes because it then becomes a big rig. Will you please let us know whether you consider the rig we suggest is sufficient for the coachbuilder. We notice in your DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M10.9.28. that you mention a subframe - previously, you have said that it is not intended to use a subframe. If, of course, the subframe is used, there will be no reason for us to make a coachbuilders rig. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
