Accepting new front glasses for P.100 headlamps and modifying 20/25 headlamps.

Although we in London have not had an opportunity of trying your recommendation in connection with the new front glasses for these headlamps, we are prepared to accept them in place of the present standard in view of what you say. Lp{Mr Lappin} also confirms your statement that they are an improvement on the previous lamp glasses and give an excellent driving light. We are glad to note that you are incorporating similar modifications experimentally on the 20/25 headlamps, and hope that you will meet with equal success with them. No doubt you will keep us informed of the progress in this matter. Will ROY{Sir Henry Royce} please go ahead with these lamp glasses without waiting for the necessary standardisation sheet.
