Dear OY,

Many thanks for your letter of Aug 30th.

We have not yet received the steering gear, but understand that it has arrived in this country. It is very good of you to take all this bother with our job, when we know you are all probably half submerged by the depression.

In view of your remarks, I am going to get the Adamant Eng. Co. who make the Marles steering over here, to produce a steering similar to the Buick's for us, having the same over-all ratio as the Cadillac steering, so that we can get direct comparisons. Any results we obtain, we shall be only too happy to pass on to you.

I shall be interested to know how you are getting on with the improved power output.

We are now in full song with the Cadillac automatic tappet adjustment on our expl. cars. Can you honestly say that this scheme gives no trouble in service if made to the model I brought back with me?

Do you find that you require any toe to your camshaft in order to get silence, or can you start with a pretty high acceleration almost immediately?

cont'd..
