| -13- LUCAS HORN. Fitted under front apron as shown on Drgt. F.61405. The position of the horn for English use may be practicable, but for continental use, the sound is too much screened to be of any value. CHASSIS LUBRICATION. The chassis has been fitted with the Luvax system of lubrication which does away with all soldered joints. We have had no trouble with any part of the system and from outside examination has been satisfactory. OIL lubrication We have used two kinds of oil in the engine during the very hot weather to obtain possible data. Oils used were Wakefields Castrol XL., and Shell Aero. We could not discern any material difference in the running of the engine with either of the oils. Total Average Petrol Cons. 9.39 m.p.g. Total Average Oil Cons. 7314 m.p.g. Total Average Speed. 48.9 m.p.h. Tyre mileage. O.S.F. No.37 7653 miles } still running N.S.F. No.38 7653 miles } but now very worn. O.S.R. No.22 4250 miles } discarded. N.S.R.
