BENTLEY 111. GEAR BOX.

We should in the interests of ultimate reliability pursue the policy of making gears which have known errors to try them out in an effort to determine what will and what will not cause "working out".

Whilst it is difficult to see on one piece, even by careful inspection, the errors which cause trouble, a special fitment made to close limits would readily determine the error and what its effect would be. A fixture of this type could be used for inspection purposes and in many cases the error could be corrected once it became recognisable.
