X4613 X7500 With reference to the standardisation sheet being sent through for this, it is not definitely stated what semi-isolation scheme it is proposed to use. If semi-isolation does all that is claimed for it, and has no disadvantages, as your report seems to imply, we have no objection to signing the sheet for present Phantom production, but we should like to know more in detail the nature of the scheme. We should also like to point out that the scuttle damper could be made into a species of semi-isola-tion by increasing the strength of the springs, and it would appear to have some advantages over the more usual type of semi-isolation. With the arrival of the cast dash the scheme used on 14-EX. - that is total isolation with a damper - appears to be quite satisfactory, and the steering column perfectly steady.
