X5840 To B.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG10.9.25. 9-G-lll. X5840 X5460 Replying to your BJ20/DN9.9.25. No special precautions have been taken to filter the petrol used on the cars in France, it just happens where the car fills up with petrol. For instance, with the 40/50 HP. car (Phantom) we could never complete the 250 miles per day [text struck through] on a tank of petrol, so that the tank was filled up at road-side supplies, usually at a pump. No precautions were then taken to filter the petrol. On the 20 HP. car, it can run 250 miles on a tank of petrol and a spare tine, therefore, most of the filling up with petrol is carried out at our own garage. The petrol is obtained in tins, because it is necessary to use a funnel. The funnel used is fitted with the usual gauze. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
