By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Set. Max. Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} Tat. 84117 D/BP/HD{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}4/WS.23.9.31. Re: 20/25 HP Chassis No.GPS-2 - Heal. Stiffer Springs. With reference to the stiffer type springs recommended for this chassis as per BY/HEB{H. Biraben}3/M.16.9.31. and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lidl/AD.11.9.31. will you please do everything possible to urge delivery as the customer is now complaining of the springing and we are anxious that the new springs should be fitted without unnecessary delay. It will also be necessary to decide as to who should bear the cost of replacing the present springs and also the extra cost of carrying out the changeover at the Coachbuilders, and possibly you may agree that this may be a Works expense in consequence of insufficient buffer to axle clearance. Will you please let us know as to the account chargeable and at the same time it should also be noted that the new springs when ready should be despatched to Cricklewood Depot. Will you please therefore alter your instructions Y.S.6878 accordingly and let us know when these new springs will be available. D/BP/HW | ||
