84117. To FN. From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}8/MJ.23.9.31. Cholmondeley. 25 HP. Chassis GFT-43. Replying to FN.11/WT22.9.31. We have a Phantom ll car running about with similar shock absorbers as are fitted to the Packard. We have not got the adjustment brought to the dashboard but adjust each shock absorber separately. The result with these shock absorbers is very good indeed. We intend to take this car to W.W. on Friday (25th.) if possible, and try to get R.{Sir Henry Royce} interested. For immediate use on Lord Cholmondeley's car to cover his requirements of adjustable damping, we have no alternative but to use Hartford's. We agree that so far we have no design for applying Hartford shock absorbers to a 25 HP. car. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
