Re: Briggs S. Cunningham, Esq.

Confirming our telephone conversation, Mr. Cunningham would like the compression of the cylinder head on his car to be raised so that it is suitable for running on fuel with an octain value of 85, as he can get pure aviation spirit of this value in America.

The most easily obtained oil in America is Essolube and he would be very grateful if you could give him any assistance as to the grade which is correct for summer and winter conditions there.

Some of his friends have had difficulty in starting their English cars owing to the extremely low temperature making the engine very stiff for the starter motor to turn over after being left out for two or three hours. Do you think he is likely to have any trouble in this direction and is there anything we can do to assist him by way of a special starter motor? The chassis purchased is B.74.BN{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} which has, of course, one of the earlier type.

Mr. Cunningham is also rather worried as he cannot purchase K.L.G. plugs in America. Do you know of any type of Champion plugs which would be suitable as these are easily obtainable out there?

Wod.
