X4024 SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} R1/M18.6.31. C. to WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} C. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. to DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} re. SMALLER MODELS. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. Since we may have something smaller there is little doubt that we should make Japan the complete J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. with 3.4 X 5" stroke - i.e. the largest we have previously agreed to. Designs are continuing for this size. PEREGRINE (?) There are two sizes on the enclosed list to chose from, viz: 16HP. and 18HP., RAC. rating, and we give our suggested sizes and proportions. Mr. Elliott prefers the larger, but as we shall have the 25HP. probably the 16HP. would reach down to a larger market. These will not be touched for some little time but I should get the matter settled. We shall talk it over on Friday when we meet at Brooklands, and we hope to get a real 70 MPH. at least from the 25HP. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
