Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/JS.{Mr Johnson's Secretary}22.4.40.

This finalised specification would be handed to HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH{R. Hollingworth} on the 27th and would give a promise for the completed chassis at the end of the following week.

BLUE PRINTS OF DETAIL DRAWINGS.

It was agreed that in the case of L.O.P's. it would be satisfactory if Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH instructed these L.O.P's to HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH{R. Hollingworth} without copies of the blueprints and HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH{R. Hollingworth} would then ask him only for those prints of which he had not copies.

FRAMES.

Owing to the difficulty of getting frames under war conditions it was agreed that we should instruct four frames which would cover the finalised complete range of senior rationalised motor cars. Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} was of the opinion that it might be necessary to assemble these frames ourselves but in any event, when these frames were instructed the question of how they are going to be manufactured will be ventilated and whatever steps are necessary will be taken.

It is hoped that by the middle of June we shall have these frames in stock.

The present position is that we have not even a bump chassis of any sort in the senior rationalised range owing to war conditions.

ADDITIONAL NOTES BY Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH and Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} to give the shop an up to date picture of the drawings for Silver Phantom which have now been issued.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} stated that Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} had told him that every time an experimental car is instructed a complete set of the drawings should be filed at Ashby.

Rear Axle to be detailed and issued by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH for L.H. Silver Phantom.

RADIATORS.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} will line up with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards} the various materials for the range of chassis to be built.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} will issue a specification for the existing unit to be fitted into the L.H. Silver Phantom.

Decision confirmed that a new column control (gear change) is required. This will be individual to the L.H. car. (It is 75% detailed).
