A brief discussion was held on the Rippletto. Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}'s note Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/17.4.40. being the basis of the discussion. It was agreed that there are about 7 weeks design work to be done to complete the specification for the Rippletto. It was expected that details would be completed about 4 weeks later, so that HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/EH should have the finalised specification for the first car at the end of the middle week in July. It was agreed that in the case of the Rippletto it would be necessary to go ahead with each detail drawing as and when these were released and if this was carried out intelligently, it might be possible to get the car away to the coachbuilders before the summer holidays. To do this HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/EH should issue a list of the major long distance jobs of which he will require details at the earliest date. Also we should have a picture of what we intend to send to the coachbuilders. LEFT HAND CAR. The left hand car was discussed in a general way. It was agreed that the detail drawings were not complete and that during the week ending April 27th. into this specification would be incorporated all the modifications which had been found necessary on the first 15th.B.V's. and also any improvements which had been achieved as a result of Experimental Tests, and which could be incorporated without major modifications to the detail drawings. | ||
