x3014b (handwritten) To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. c. CJ. c. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} EFC5/TS.4.21. X.1005 - ROTAX DYNAMO. x295 x3014b (handwritten) The price of the Rotax A.T.12 dynamo is £13.10.0 less 20%. Weight 27 lbs. Present quantity price of Lucas E.575 dynamo is £14.10.0. Weight 28 lbs. The Rotax machine A.T.12 appears to be a very well made and finished machine and presumably the A.T.4 is on the same lines but we have not seen one of these. I will arrange to visit the Rotax Company in accordance with your instructions and will consider what they can do for us. We have received a further Smith dynamo at the end of last week which they have succeeded in making almost perfectly silent (as regards electrical hum) at the expense of a slight alteration to the cutting-in point which makes the output curve not quite comply with our specified performance. This, however, will be reported more fully separately. We shall shortly be sending a summary of the position of all the items of electrical equipment in attachments. EFC.
