X2515 With reference to your WD{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}5/WJ8.4.21, attaching letter from Lucas Co. dated April 7th., CLB/1, I cannot agree that the only complaints we have had with their equipment have been entirely in reference to the electro-magnetic cut-out, and that there were only three in number. The following is a list of the switchboxes complete which we have had to replace on cars which have failed whilst in customers' hands since Jan.1st.1921, and which to the best of my knowledge, have been returned through the Stores to Messrs. Lucas in the usual way. 41-EE. 1.1.21. Shunt coil gone. 56-BW 2.2.21. Shunt coil gone. 65-TW 3.2.21. Mechanically 24-FW 6.2.21. Mechanically (28-RE 23.2.21. Mechanically (28-RE 3.3.21. Dynamos failing to charge owing to loose terminals although I must agree that during the last two months we have had no trouble in this respect, and improvement seems to have been effected. 2. The switch is making faulty connection. We have had several cases where the main switch did not make proper contact for the control winding, causing | ||
