Huckerby}14.3.38. BENTLEY GIRLING BRAKES - 101 in 'M' SERIES. We have decided what leverage is required on this car, to give correct front to rear brake proportion. The levers should be as follows :- Main cross shaft : Output to rear brakes 3.250" ccs. Input, direct braking 2.837" " " from servo 1.500" " " from handbrake 2.837 " Rear Brakes inter. shaft, idler lever. Input and output equal: T shaped lever. No other changes are required from the previous instruction. You will note that no stay is now required on the rear cross member, that the special 2.025" ccs. lever is not required, and that the 1.25" ccs. lever has been replaced by a lever of better length which can be made from an existing forging.
