For the attention of Maj. Searight.

Dear Sir,

We have sent you today under separate cover some fluid of a petrol gauge off one of our experimental cars. In the gauge this looks to have lost most of its colour but since we have extracted it, it does not look so transparent. This gauge has been used normally.

The fluid we sent off production gauges had been standing in the gauge head shewing three or four gallons only.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
