V5230 20 HP. EXHAUST SYSTEM. The 20 HP. exhaust sytem that has stood up in France consists of:- Sch.1249. N.Sch.2985 (Flange to suit Std. Silencer). Sch.1241. All the stays are necessary and we think that a small modification should be made to the stay that prevents the silencer going back as it bends at the neck. We recommend that all joints in the exhaust system should be welded not brazed. We also recommend that the top flange of the down pipe should be thickened up and that steel centred C. and A.{Mr Adams} washers should be used at this point.
