| 87th Meeting Re Clearance in Universal joint on gear box. Nov. 28. 11. Mr. Platford submitted a universal joint which had been running for some time, and reported that it caused trouble from knocking. The Committee inspected the joints and clearance, and agreed that the clearance for endways movement on the pins should be reduced to a total of 5 thousandths, that is 2 1/2 thousandths at each end.
