666a To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HFP. Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HFP.5/MH.{M. Huckerby}26.7.39. 30.G.VII FRONT DAMPERS. The leak hole for the above dampers is drilled through the aluminium rivet attaching the replenishing valve spring to the replenishing valve. The front dampers on 30.G.VII were set to have an initial load of 100 lbs. As control pressures in excess of 40 lbs/sq.in. are required to give loads greater than 100 lbs. the valve is, in effect, uncontrolled. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HFP. | ||
