6099 To By/Cgh.{W Clough} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. c. Bs.{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager} - W/S. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.1/AP.18.3.37. Re.CHASSIS 3.BT.{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer}175 - R.H.Wagner Esq. We attach herewith copy of a memo received from Bs.{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager} regarding the above chassis. At Sales request we interviewed this customer at Conduit St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} regarding the electrical rating and type of generator he required. Originally it was a 3.K.W. but we pointed out the impracticability of carrying such a heavy weight in the chassis as well as the extreme difficulty of driving the same. Now he has narrowed it down to 1 1/2 K.W. We consider this could be driven for short periods (he only wants to make cinema shots) with the same type of flexible drive used on the Kestrel which is capable of driving a 1000 watt generator full load continuously. Will you please arrange for a special scheme to be made and send the shaft end details to Mr.Wagner so that he can arrange for the generator to be adapted to suit.
