S/W. WST 6099 Bs{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager}8/JL.17.3.37. CHASSIS No.3-BT{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer}-175 - R.{Sir Henry Royce} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} WAGNER, ESQ. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.B/AP.4.3.37. Mr. Wagner called at Conduit Street yesterday regarding the generator he requires to be fitted to this chassis. He said that, owing to the speed of the films which he now uses having been increased, it only becomes necessary to have a generator of 1 1/2 kilowatts, which equals approximately 2 h.p. Mr. Wagner could obtain delivery of one of these generators in three weeks, and he states that the dimensions would be 15 1/2" long, 12 1/2" high and 11 1/2" wide. He suggests that the generator should be fixed to the ground, and the drive taken from the chassis by means of flexible shafting - the fan belt pulley could be utilized for driving the flexible shaft, the latter to be a little larger than the ordinary speedometer drive. He now wishes to know from us what kind of fitting would be required on the end of the generator to couple up with the flexible shafting suggested. It is presumably his intention to stand the generator on the ground close to the door, so that he will obtain a straight drive with the bonnet open. Will you please consider the matter further and let us know what we should reply to Mr. Wagner. Bs.{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager} | ||
