re F.O.BURGESS, ESQ.
Chassis 27-MX{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}
and GWO/K21.9.34
With reference to our telephone conversation this morning, I am arranging for Penton to take 27-MX{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} to Derby tomorrow, Wednesday. He will leave here at about 11.0 o'clock that morning.
I rang up Mrs. Burgess this morning but unfortunately she was out and Mr. Burgess is at the moment in a Nursing Home, so I spoke to Driver Farrow.
He told me that he was rather under the impression that Mrs. Burgess would not want the loan of a car owing to her husband being laid up, but that if she did he would ring up by 2.0 p.m. to-day: if we hear nothing she will not want a car on loan. As I shall be out, I have asked Miss Keymer to let you know sometime after two o'clock whether a car is required or not.
AA.{D. Abbot-Anderson}
(P.S. No message has come through from Driver Farrow, so I have telephoned through accordingly, that no car will be wanted. H.H.K.)
