Notes.

are to admittedly allow a definite "sales resistance" to the "SS{S. Smith}" being created.

The main thing we feared in regard to the latter was that the arrangement would not provide a satisfactory motor car, but we are pleased to see in the last paragraph of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LGL2.2.29 that a test with weights distributed on the lines of this suggestion, whilst shewing a difference in the springing, still shewed that the "SS{S. Smith}" so arranged would be infinitely better than the Phantom.

We thoroughly agree that it is worth a big effort to retain one at least wheels at the back, and our main point is to get agreement on the subject of ability to provide adequate luggage carrying capacity for normal suit cases and/or provide a fitted trunk of useful capacity on the type of cars which form the majority of our sales, i.e long bodies.
