To Mr.Knagg - Iron Foundry from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mths.{Reg Matthews} H2H Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mths.{Reg Matthews}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}9.9.37. With reference to our conversation over the 'phone this morning, we confirm that we should like a cylinder block producing in Chrome iron, but at the same time we should also like incorporating the new pattern and core alterations at present being detailed in the D.O. We find now that we can afford to wait for this as the car is being held up for rear axle change and is not likely to go on test for a week or so. Will you therefore, hold up the production of this experimental block until you get details of the new patterns etc. details of which should be completed within the next two days.
