To RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/EG. from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mths.{Reg Matthews} 1124 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Mths.{Reg Matthews}6/MH.{M. Huckerby}1.9.37. CYLINDER FINISH. With reference to your memo RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/EG.3/DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 31.8.37. it is still essential that cylinder bores should be produced with the super honed finished. The oil consumption figures have improved since adopting this measure and the service stations at Kingsbury and Paris are now pleased with both finish and consistency of oil consumption results since supplying them with cylinders finished in this way.
