COPY OF OUR LETTER TO MR. GIMSON. RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}15/ML. 10.10.40. K.{Mr Kilner} S. Gimson, Esq., British United Shoe Machine Works, Ltd., Union Works, Belgrave Road, Leicester. Dear Mr. Gimson, Thank you for your letter of the 8th. October. Our Accounts people are anxious to contact Mr. R.W.Finn, to settle up one or two details, but generally speaking, the proposals we put forward at our meeting seem to be quite acceptable. The point has arisen which will have to be taken care of. The second 85 sets of material which we are letting you have, have been ordered by the Air Ministry order under our number for one is same which Lord Woolbrook has tentatively asked us to produce. Whilst we are giving you this material in order to enable you to maintain continuity of output, it will be necessary for you to order 20 sets of similar material on the Admiralty Order number, which will then be earmarked for these Air Ministry runs. This material will differ from the 475 sets, due to the fact that Aluminium will be used and not brass. We have asked our people to let you have exact details of the material so that you will not be confused. Yours sincerely, | ||
