1139 - Rml/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 14th June, 1939. CONFIDENTIAL. T.C. Worth, Esq., British Filters Ltd., Aircraft House, MARKET HARBOROUGH. Dear Tom, Herewith a report on the behaviour of your filter during a protracted road test which we carried out on one of our cars. The most interesting part of the report as far as I am concerned is the fact that it shows, on the particular type of running conditions under which these tests were made, the quality of the oil does not deteriorate. We were led to believe by some of the oil companies that in spite of the fact that the oil was kept clean by a filter, the quality of the lubricant would deteriorate unless it was changed every 5,000 miles. You will appreciate that this report is confidential, and we should like you to treat it as such, but there is no reason why you should not refer to the results obtained in general terms. Yours sincerely, | ||
