X3854 Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c.c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. EFC. BY6-P16.7.20. CHASSIS - REAR SPRINGS & FITTINGS. -------------------- Referring to the order we recently placed for two sets of springs to be respectively of 2000 and 2100 poundage and made up of nine plates, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is in agreement with myself that we should have the springs which have been made by Messrs. Woodheads from slightly larger gauge material, which they had in stock, delivered without delay, but he is also anxious that a further pair of springs should be produced which do conform with the drawing requirements as regards thickness of plates, which should then apparently fall within the 2000 and 2100 poundage of springs, as called for originally. Will you therefore kindly ask Messrs. Woodheads to proceed to produce two more springs to the drawing N.391, previously supplied, one of which should be 2000 lbs and the other 2100, with our usual limits of variation. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} E C JUL 16 1920 RECEIVED. | ||
