G.CD.133 Aluminium Brake Drum, fitted with Sch.G.CD.102 and Auxiliary Brake Shoes. SECTIONS G120, G130 and G170. The above scheme shows the fitting of Auxiliary Brake Shoes to the rear brakes when aluminium brake drum GW.1647 is used. The Auxiliary shoe is similar to that shown on G.CD.160 but the main shoe as shown on G.CD.39 is modified to give necessary clearance. The depth of the dust excluder is to be reduced from .300 to .250 to give more end clearance with the brake drum. Now that square headed bolts are used the bolt stop on the hub is reinstated. The axle shafts and drivers to be as shown on G.CD.102. For other particulars of main shoe see G.CD.39. It is intended that this be instructed for the first six.
