G.CD.160 Auxiliary Shoes, Forged Steel Main Shoes and Cast Iron Brake Drum - Rear.
SECTIONS 6120, 6130 and 6170.

The above scheme shows auxiliary brake shoes, forged steel main shoes fitted with cast iron drums.

The toggle shafts, toggle forks etc. are as at present fitted L.O.P. GW.1562. The first experiments should be made, using only one pull off spring, and this should be the one near the toggles.

The dust excluders are to be increased in diameter in order to permit of a thicker section of material at the end of the drum, so that the recess for the excluders may be made deeper to ensure adequate clearance for the dust excluder.

The hubs, axle shafts and drivers are shewn as on G.CD.102 and G.CD.133.
