-2- HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/PIOL.2/MA.6.1.32.cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} (4) Standard pipe E.3229 with side-by-side manifolds, but with redistributor between the front and rear portions of the pipe. and Curves 263, 264, 265,/270 "F" show the form of, and the consumption loops obtained with each pipe. There is very little divergence as regards fuel consumption at the weakest maintained and maximum power conditions. In no instance was distribution good throughout the throttle range. SUMMARY. From the induction pipes tried, we do not feel justified in making any change from the existing standard pipe. A series of tests have also been made with modified air intakes to find if distribution could be thus improved. These will be reported on separately. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.Parkin.
