RE CONNECTION E.76930

Referring to BY/NS.{Norman Scott}3/G.16.6.38., it has been confirmed that it is quite practicable to manufacture the connection, E.76930, as a hot brass pressing, incorporating the lock plate slots and the large bore, the tabs being .025 beneath the main boss, as requested.

It is suggested that these be introduced thus providing a saving of 7d in material and 1/5d in labour, i.e. a total saving of 2/- per chassis. This will involve a Tool and Dye cost of £4. 0. 0d. which will be recovered after 40 chassis.

Introduction of this piece can be effected at the 1st chassis in 'E' series without scrap.
