In reply to your memo SV1/V6215, we wish to state that from the figures you give us this car appears to have an excessively heavy body, the weight being nearly 14 cwts.

The springs required from the weights given on your card, plus passengers and plus 1.cwt of luggage, would be as follows :-

1000 lbs front near side.
1025 lbs front off side.
2250 lbs rear near side.
2400 lbs rear off side.

The present springs would only be suitable for 3 passengers for town work.

We presume that you have verified that the weight of the body agrees with your figures, as the car when in touring trim will be about 1 1/4 cwts. over our guarantee weight.
