NO.30 BED.

B.80 No.3.
Irrespective of whether jobs in accordance with previous memo have been completed or not, the unit should be temporarily removed after taking the valve temperatures, detonation and ignition tests.

B.80 No.1 Unit.
This unit is to be installed in 30.G.VII and tests should be carried out in accordance with our previous memo.

Additional to what has been instructed, valve temperatures should be taken.

B.80 No.3 Unit.
Re-fit on bed and complete tests previously instructed.

Additionally, investigate why cylinder heads of Nos.2 and 3 units vary in regard to detonation. One of the first things to do is checking the temperature along the cylinder heads.

On completion it is intended to run an endurance, the conditions of which we will instruct in our next memo.
