I think we should have a rubber stamp made to be printed on every power curve when it is plotted so that we are sure we get all the information required from every engine run. I think on endurance runs we should always know:- (1) the exact brands of oil used and their viscosity as measured by the Lab. (2) The temperature of the oil during the test. If we do not take a complete blow-by curve, we should always give a blow-by at two speeds, say, 2000 and 3,000 r.p.m., also the induction pipe depression at these speeds. Will you please think over very carefully what we can do to improve the consistency of the records we take so that we get the maximum amount of value from each test, and it is in a form which is easily comparable.
