PHANTOM TOOLS AND SPARES.

We give below a list of tools which we consider should always be carried on the car. The rest of the kit we consider can be left at home when the car is to return to its home garage each night. During all the 10,000 mile tests in France the tools given in this list were the only ones carried on the car.

Jack and handle.
Mallet.
Wheel spanner.
Bonnet keys.
Inspection lamp.
Large adjustable spanner.

Screwdriver.
Plug spanner and tommy bar.
Spare plugs.
Feeler gauges.
5/16" and 3/8" spanner.
2 B.A. i.e. 1/4 x 3/16" spanner.
Gas pliers.
Spare bulbs.
Tyre press. gauge.
Oil can.
