To C. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 8580 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG31.1.27. PHANTOM TOOLS AND SPARES. X.5580 We have recently supplied you with a list of tools which we consider should always be carried on the car. We also pointed out that when the car was returning to its own garage each night, the rest of the tool kit could be left off the car. Whenever however the car goes on an extended tour, we should expect it to carry the complete tool kit as supplied by us. We do not agree with the list given in C5/C 31.1.27. There are several items in that list such as copper drift and small hand vice which are not included in the kit and there is no proposal to have them included in it.
