X.3426 RE. FAILURE OF ENGINE STARTER DRIVE.
---------------------------------
With reference to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}1/F25-2-20 and EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}2/F28-2-20
we have recently suggested bronze plates in a
slipper drive to Mr Royce and the suggestion has not
been approved, but we have been instructed to substitute
gray fibre. In view of the above I do not think we can
do any more until some definite result is obtained
shewing that fibre plates are definitely wrong, and
bronze plates an improvement.
