We are at a loss to know why the bumper on this particular car has given so much trouble and we should like to know, as soon as you have had an opportunity of examining it, whether there is anything wrong with the two horizontal main plates that could cause too much or excessive movement.

For your information, we are going to remove the lead weights from the new bumper and fit a hard wooden block in their place so as to try and prevent a repetition of bumper trouble on this car in the future, because the owner is naturally in a very bad frame of mind about it.

If you see any serious objection to our fitting wooden blocks in place of the lead weights, please send us a wire. We are delivering the car to the owner on Friday evening next.

We do not intend to inform the owner that we have removed the lead weights etc..

Upon examination of the "stiffened type headlamp cross member", we find it to be in an O.K. condition.
