X3700 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RML/LG. Expl: Dept: 9th. May 1927. The Zenith Carb. Co.Ltd., 40-42 Newman Street, London W.1. Dear Sirs, With reference to your letter of the 6th.inst. We have carried out and are still conducting extensive tests with your filter. As we anticipated, we have had several cases where the filter has become choked necessitating its cleaning on the road. This we rather expected from our bench tests, and previously mentioned it to you. We should like to know whether you are considering increasing the area of this filter say by 25%. Our experience is that on a bad road the dirt gets washed from the edge of the plates, but on a good road the filter does not clean itself completely. Yours faithfully, | ||
