To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} γ 102 o3. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}28.3.38. BENTLEY III. Further to our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/AP.5.3.38 regarding the fitting of Vandervell bearings, we now have their arrangement drawing L.1076 which will enable you to proceed with a crankcase and bearing caps for the job. You will note that the rear bearing housing of the crankcase is thicker than normal 1.933 +2 against the normal dimension 1.775. Other than the above special bearing the crankcase should be up to date and include the official deletion of the cam balancer to ECD.478. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H.
