Birmingham, 1.

Dear Sir,

With reference to the arrangement you have made with Mr.Rowbotham to the effect that you would like to purchase one of our new Bentley cars, we have been going into the question of the price and would now advise you that this will be £2050, after allowing for the special terms we give you, and adding the Purchase Tax.

Perhaps you will kindly let us know if this is agreeable to you.

There is then the question of obtaining a licence, as we are not allowed to sell new cars now without such a licence. We presume, however, as your car will be used on matters connected with the War for the great majority of its mileage you would have no difficulty in obtaining this and you should apply to the Regional Transport Commissioner of the Ministry of Transport in your area.

We will advise Mr. Rowbotham as soon as the car is ready and will be sending it first to Derby so that he may finally test it.

Yours faithfully,

Director.
