To C. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X298S Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG19.5.28. RE. CAR FOR THE CHAIRMAN. X150 Replying to C11/C18.5.28. It is very difficult for us to make a definite promise of when we shall have a car in France. There is always the risk at the last minute that either something will fail and have to be changed, or R.{Sir Henry Royce} will wish to fit extra parts. We consider it is inadvisable to rely on the 10,000 miles car. At the present time we have no definite object for sending another car to France, but if it is decided that the car shall go, it would be more useful to send an experimental car than a standard car. We could arrange this if you will let us know your instructions. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
