Date 20.8.26 Description of Parts: MODIFIED STEERING FOR EXISTING 20 HP. CARS. X No. 5430 Origin: To improve steering. Drawing No. Part List Experimental Test Report. The changeover consists of a new nut and worm fitted to an existing steering .800" lead and changing of springs in side steering tube. Road Test Report. Run 2000 miles on 11-G-111 car. This modification is similar to the .940 steering on Phantoms. It will only be used in cases of definite complaint which cannot be overcome by any other means. A 10,000 miles test is not considered necessary. [BOX] A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in works.
