Copy to L.P. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Y1085. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}14/KT. 4th November 1931. W.H. Colt, Ltd., Bush House, Aldwych, London. W.C.2. Dear Sirs, Your letter WHC/V/P of the 28th. Oct. has been handed on to us from Conduit St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} together with your drawings. With regard to bonnet ventilation, we shall be pleased to try out, experimentally, the effect obtained by fitting your bonnet ventilator as shown on your blueprint No. 27. Perhaps therefore you would be good enough to let us have a pair suitable for our large model car. In addition, we should be pleased to receive any further particulars you may care to give concerning sump cooling, a new fan and what you describe as your 'Contra shield'. We are not directly interested in body ventilators, apart from the scuttle type, and suggest you get into touch with the body makers on this point. With reference to your query as regards the terms on which we should be prepared to negotiate for the use of any of your products, we would prefer to leave this in abeyance until such time as we have decided whether or not any of your inventions are acceptable to us from a utility point of view. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. (Exptl. Dept) | ||
